Happy New Year 🎉 !
Is it too late to say that? I say all of January is still okay 🙂
It’s been a while since I’ve written here — life, work, mom life, all of it — and I wanted to pop in to say hi, and share what I’ve been working on lately:
Making sense of all the things that you realize weren’t ever you being “too much” — once you realize you’re neurodivergent in some way.
With that realization comes language, context, and a lot of unexpected self-compassion. It’s been so healing and grounding.
Lately, I’ve been putting more of my energy into YouTube, mostly because it gives me space for longer, slower reflection in a way that feels truer to what I’m trying to say. The videos are very simple — nothing fancy, more like thinking out loud. They’re more of an audio experience.
The first three episodes loosely build on each other, but they can also stand alone. They’re very much “listen while folding laundry / driving / zoning out” kinds of videos — no pressure at all to watch.
Links to videos below:
Episode 1 — I thought I was broken
How my own patterns started to make sense after my son’s autism diagnosis — and what that shifted for me around self-blame.Episode 2 — Parenting made it impossible to ignore
Why everything surfaced when it did, and why that timing actually makes sense.
Episode 3 — How values help short-circuit neurodivergent spirals
How understanding why we spiral can reduce suffering — even before we understand everything else
One small update you might notice: I’ve recently renamed my channel and Instagram to @withcontextnow. It’s just language that helps me name what this work is evolving into — not fixing who we are, but learning to look at ourselves with more context, especially through a deep-feeling, neurodivergent lens.
Hope the start of the year is treating you well,
Diana
PS: If you do watch and feel like sharing, I’d genuinely love to know what resonates or what kinds of topics you’d want me to explore next.
